Dave Moeller, Secretary & Newsletter Editor:
David Moeller has been metal detecting for the past seven years. He is a resident of Davenport Iowa and is employed with the United States Postal Service as a Postmaster of Illinois City, IL. David is married and has three kids that take much of his time.
As Internal V.P. he has brought in some fascinating guest speakers in the past two years. He will take over as Secretary/ Newsletter Editor starting in 2006.
David has recently been featured in area newspapers for his contributions towards the revitalization of Essex Cemetery. (Rock Island County, Illinois) He was introduced to the cemetery when asked to metal detect for lost G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) markers. After that, he tried dousing/witching and has, to date, found over four hundred unmarked graves in and around the cemetery.

Amanda Balk, Member:
Amanda has been a member of the I&I club since 2004 and has had experience metal detecting over the past 16 years or so. Her interest in metal detecting was sparked when her grandfather used to take her metal detecting as a child. Her first metal detector was an orange plastic and metal detector from Radio Shack that she likes to brag about all the time! Her grandfather used to find her rings and give them to her but she has since lost them all and they are probably in her grandparents' old yard waiting to be found again! Amanda has been married to fellow member Rob Balk for almost two years and has a step-daughter. She works at a convenience store and also owns an online business with her husband. Her latest find was a 1908 Indian Head penny.
